Robert Cowell is another heterosexual man who followed the well travelled path from transvestite to sex mimic. He married and fathered children but had an escalating tendency to steal his wife’s clothes to cross dress; likely because it gave him a sexual charge. He is now being promoted to primary school children, by organisations such as Stonewall.
Cowell is also used as propaganda by a less well known organisation, Jigsaw, who provides PSHE (Personal, Social,Health, Education) for ages 3 to 11.
Early life
The true story of Robert Cowell is not quite so savoury as presented to your nursery and primary school children. Cowell was the middle child of three children, from a well-to-do family. His father was a surgeon who held high rank in the military. Robert was educated at public school, he graduated from University, with a degree in engineering. and later joined the R.A.F where he became a spitfire pilot in WW2. He was later shot down and became a prisoner of war. 👇. He was also a motor racing enthusiast.
Marriage and fatherhood
Robert claims he was attracted to aggressive, male pursuits to mask his “feminine” traits. He would meet his wife, Zelda, at University, where she also obtained a degree in engineering. They married and Robert fathered two children. The marriage was punctuated by his increasing need to wear Zelda’s clothing which is captured in media coverage at the time.👇 This compulsion escalated, as paraphilia will, over time. Robert also had affairs with other women. Zelda divorced her husband in 1952 following his desertion of her and their children, in 1948. He had already been allowed to change his birth certificate, (in 1951) to record him as a female despite being married). This is why Trans Widows are fighting to retain the Spousal Exit Clause so they are not having their marriage contract changed against their wishes. Cowell never saw his daughters again, despite living until age 93.
Zelda 👆 writes about her decision to inform her daughter about her father so she did not learn about it via the newspapers. However at least one of her daughters was not spared this as she explained in an interview after Cowell’s death. She read about it in the newspaper. 👇
Cowell was deeply entrenched in the fantasy /delusion that he was really a woman, right down to his chromosomes. He claims that, even as a schoolboy, he had to mask his feminine physical characteristics by binding his “breasts” and that he was ashamed of his abnormal genitals. This is what is known as a “retconned” narrative (con for short) where a man does his level best to distance himself from accusations of transvestic fetishism by claiming he was actually always a woman and locating his realisation to when he was a child.
This is obviously false as he fathered two children, continued to have affairs, and his wife expresses her shock when Cowell’s mother informed her about his “transition”. She had never noticed any biological issues. Here his a picture of him and he is very evidently male

In 1951 Cowell persuaded a doctor to support his request for a female birth certificate to be issued, under the name Roberta. Cowell is deeply immersed in his belief that he has an genetic abnormality but in order to “prove” this he had to repudiate the children and claim they were the product of his wife’s affairs. I can only conjecture what the social consequences were for her, or the children, but it seems the two daughters not only lost their father but were sent to live with their grandparents. Meanwhile Zelda remarried and had three further children.
Michael Dillon
At the time of his desertion Cowell met a woman who was identifying as a man and in the midst of obtaining a medical degree. Michael Dillon was also from a supremely privileged background being the, expensively educated, neice of a baronet.
It seems Dillon became infatuated with Cowell, a feeling that went unreciprocated, but which was likely instrumental in persuading Dillon to risk her medical licence by performing an orchiectomy (castration) on Cowell. It was presumably this that allowed him to persuade a gynaecologist he was “intersex” which is a disorder of sexual development.
Dillon would move to India, become a buddhist monk, and die aged just 47, in 1962.
Picture Post.
Cowell would go on to sell his story to the Picture post for a huge sum of money purportedly to clear his debts. There is no evidence that he used the large payment to support his children. He had been involved in an engineering company and also a company designing women’s clothes, but both companies had collapsed. He also needed to pay for the penis removal and the facial feminisation surgery. It was presumably this coverage that impacted his daughter.
Cowell also produced an autobiography which I found on Amazon for £200! No, I did not invest in a copy.
An immersive fiction.
Cowell is keen to promote the idea that he is a woman right down to his chromosomes. The fact that he passed a medical to enter the R.A.F casts further doubt on these assertions. Cowell has claimed to be “intersex” and that he is a woman “glandularly”, psychologically” etc. At one point he claimed to have ovaries.
Rather bizarrely he claimed that the stress of being held in a prisoner of war camp may have “brought out her underlying female biology” . It is absolutely ludicrous that medical professionals and psychologists /sexologists fall for this guff. Being a woman is a stress induced condition? 🤡!
His own father seemed to have thought his son could bear children until he retracted it and agreed his son was not a “hermaphrodite” but a transvestist”. This is a more believable scenario.
Attitude to woman and “transphobia”.
Cowell was not exactly enamoured of his brothers in gold lame or feminists. He spoke out agains “women’s lib” and men following in his footsteps, calling them “freaks”. This is an excerpt from an interview he did in 1972. 👇.
These men are treated like modern day Tiresias as if these men can offer any insight into womanhood. He describes the expectations on men to perform “masculinity” while he projects a passive existence on women who “simply be”. This is so obviously a patronising view of women and is the attitude of a male chauvinist.

Conclusion.
In summary Cowell was a cross dresser whose addiction to transvestic fetishism escalated until he could not control his paraphilia. He laid waste to his marriage and deserted his family, never to see his children again. In order to secure a new birth certificate he claimed to have a genetic abnormality that had resulted in him being wrongly classified as male. To give credence to this fiction he had to repudiate his children and accuse his wife of infidelity. He did this whilst having affairs himself.
In order to recoup the money he had spent on expensive surgeries he went public with his story in complete disregard for the impact on his ex wife and children. There is no evidence he provided any financial support for his family despite the money he received for press coverage and his book. He appears to have used the money to fund his motor racing, women’s clothing and trips abroad accompanied by various women.
Cowell was aware that he still appeared male and avoided those who would recognise his sex as he said himself. Children and elderly ladies seem to have been the worst culprits for truth telling. 👇

Cowell died in 2011 and only six people came to his funeral. He gave instructions that there was to be no publicity and his daughters did not find out he was dead until two years later. The final insult.
