This charity began life as an anti-racism charity focussed on football. It was set up in 1997 and originally branded “Kick Racism out of Football”. It is not an insignificant charity and was originally partnered with the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE). The CRE was subsequently absorbed into the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).Their main funding sources are the key Football bodies and they are also partnered with Sky.

The charity has close ties to the Football Association who recently issued a six match man for a, 17 year old, autistic, female, player who had the temerity to challenge a male player; who was using his status as a sex mimic to invade female sport. Here are a couple of quotes from the Daily Mail coverage on that case: 👇
It was this incident that prompted me to have a closer look at “Kick it Out” who are a limited company, and a registered charity. The majority of their funding comes from the main football bodies though latterly they began to recive grants from other organisations and to attract government funding. This is a snapshot of one years funding and these funding sources carry on from 1998 to 2023 as reflected in all their public accounts.

Latterly they have also received government funding and funding from the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC). The Annual Trustee reports contained in the accounts allow us to trace the mission creep of Kick it Out, which began with a narrow focus on racism but eventually extended its remit to coverage a range of “equality” and “diversity” issues . The failure to focus on their core aims has resulted in a dilution of their effectiveness and led them into an anti-equality territory; where women’s rights to fair sport are concerned.
The mission first expanded to focus on the gypsy /traveller community and a specific focus on refugees and asylum seekers. Gradually it began to advocate against homophobia in football and subsequently they turned their attention to bisexuals and sex mimics (“trans”) people.

It seems they then realised that there were women among the traveller community and ethnic minorities and the charity began adding mention of the women from these demographics to their annual reports. About this time they also added a couple of female trustees to their previously all male board. Clearly they were concerned that the board was male, stale and pale so the surnames of their trustees also began to include members drawn from the African diaspora. This focus seems like a logical extension of their activities and is compatible with an anti-racist stance.
The language in the annual reports from the trustees begins to shift to an all encompassing concern with diversity,

Equality & Human Rights Commisssion
It is not until 2010 that the charity moves to expand their advocacy to cover LGBT issues which seems to have originated with the acceptance of a grant from the EHRC.

I suspect the trustees little understood that they had embarked on a path which would result in a stance incompatible with the human rights of women. Whether the staff, at the EHRC, foresaw the end game resulting in sex denialism and males in women’s sports is not clear. The EHRC, in 2010 , was headed up by Trevor Phillips. Even if Phillips had no sinister intent it is perfectly possible that there were activists embedded in the EHRC whose motivations were less than benign re the impact on women.
European Connection: FARE
Kick it out also collaborates with a European body FARE. I am intuiting that this organisation began life as Football Against Racism but their current website makes no reference to this. It is likely that the title disappeared as their mission also expanded to a more comprehensive campaign on behalf of “diversity” and the old name no longer encompassed the breadth of their mission,.

They do not list their 150 partners in full but do name FIFA, UEFA and the European Commission. On their list of FARE board members is one Howard Holmes who was also a long time trustee of Kick-it Out.

I located a likely twitter account for Holmes which focuses on anti-racism only. The other UK board member is more interesting and even manages to have a neo-pronoun I have never heard of before. (update. apparently the peonouns are in the Welsh language).

It may also be pertinent that Kick it Out reference their desire to obtain European funding in their trustee report. Presumably it would soon become apparent that, in order to secure any European Funding it was necessary to embrace the alphabet soup.

Sophie Cook
Fast forward to 2017 and the organisation seems to have gone full steam ahead by embracing the “trans” influencer who calls himself Sophie Cook. Cook was, by now, an ambassador for Kick it Out and headlined an event called “Raise Your Game” aimed at women footballers. I guess the title was advance warning for the stiff competition about to be introduced to the female game; in the form of sex mimics.

You can read more about Cook in a piece did on him when he was also recruited by the Crown Prosecution Services.

You can watch him in action talking about his role at Kick it Out here 👇

Chris Paouros
Also appearing, in the above YouTube video, alongside Cook, is Chris Paouros who became a trustee for Kick it Out in 2019. Paouros was also a member of the Women’s Equality Party who at the outset adopted the stance that sex mimics could be included as women. My series on the WEP is linked below.
I have chosen to focus on Paouros because she is a great illustration of where the fallacy (or phallussy) of intersectional feminism leads.

Paouros has quite the portfolio of volunteer work on her preferred version of LGBTQ+ activism.

I determined it would be worth a closer look at Paouros who is one of those Vichy Lesbians who has let herself be manipulated into undermining women’s rights. She gives quite a lot away in this YouTube interview.👇
The implications of allowing men into women’s sports are never directly addressed but she is quite happy to chant the expected mantras for the inclusion of “trans” in her advocacy ;whilst deluding herself she is a feminist.

She leaved with this parting shot even and a quote from Audre Lorde 👇. The fact that Patriarchy has just donned a frock and some fake tits has entirely bypassed Paouros’s feminist consciousness. Allowing some tools in female sports will dismantle female sports.

Paouros is also Vice Chair of an organisation called Proud Lillywhites whose YouTube is so ignorant about the history of gay rights that is quotes the disproven myths about the Stonewall riots.

Paourus has a twitter account which does not deviate from the woke script for proponents of diversity and inclusion. Pronouns in bio. & tweets on George Floyd/ Black Lives Matter litter her account. Still up are tweets about a criminal who was shot dead by British police following a confrontation. (The police officer was subsequently exonerated and the victim was revealed as a career criminal.),

Paouros ‘s inclusion in the charity was likely the consequence of the charity’s new direction rather than as a result of her input but she certainly is unlikely to have been a dissenting voice on the inclusion of the T in LGBT.
Education & Re-Education
The trustees report a number of collaborations on developing educational resources for schools with the Dept of Education and the NUT (National Union of Teachers).

Kick it Out also recived NUT funding for a conference and the Home Office also contributed funding for a festival to promote their aims. (Note that Lloyds TSB also provided financial backing for an events coordinator.)

One of the more disturbing aspects of Kick it Out is their fan re-education programme. It seems that as the rhetoric was heightened to label purported anti LGBT statements as “hate inspired” activities. Note that this includes the “crime” of sex recognition.

The inclusion of “transphobia” is particularly chilling when you reflect that Kick it Out also launched an application that can be downloaded onto a smart phone to facilitate anonymous reporting. Not only that but the charity liaises with the police and counter terrorism to not only supply intelligence but to be involved in “offender” rehabilitation.

Then they came for the Cricket
Before I leave Kick it Out, on football, it is worth noting that they are also in talks with the English Cricket Board to infect their sport with their wokery. The ECB paid them 100k!

Online Safety Bill
I note that Kick it Out are also involved in consultations on the online safety legislation. It requires a more specialist opinion on that legislation; suffice to say I do not think this organisation is likely to understand the importance of free speech. I instinctively find myself concerned about issues like pornography and on-line content, in general, for under eighteens. At the same time I am hesitant about the envisaged role for bodies like kick it out as a “super complainant” who stands to profit from referrals to them for fan re-education.. I have not reached firm conclusions on this topic myself so I will link below two perspectives.

Conclusion
I don’t wish to add to the hyperbole but having followed some of the excesses of the police on this issue I do not think it is excessive to raise serious concerns about where we are heading. I think we, as a country, have been taken down a sinister path. My concern is primarily related to the de facto criminalisation of sex recognition. However we are also witnessing a stifling of public concern about islamic extremism and this is also a serious issue of concern.

Researching the history and the present of the “transgender” movement and the harm it is wreaking on our society.

This sounds like the kind of story of gender-ideology/PC-gone-mad that gender critics could well take to the gates of their local football club for Saturday afternoon 3pm kick-offs. Or amateur Sunday morning pub-team leagues. I know there was the big Wembley demo on Sun 17 Nov at the England international vs Ireland, but I haven’t seen any news about it yet.
Is anyone organising anything on these lines? A template leaflet to get printed at a local printers would be a start. Any suggestions, please?
Signed, a bloke what used to play footie.
