Queering the NSPCC? Part 7: Trans Identity

The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children dates back well over a century.  It was granted a Royal Charter, by Queen Victoria, in 1895.  The NSPCC is the only UK charity which has been granted statutory powers under the Children Act 1989, allowing it to apply for care and supervision orders for children at risk.  Childline, the charity founded by Esther Rantzen, became part of the NSPCC in 2006.

Trans Identity :  Steph

You can watch it here

You can read a transcript here Trans Identity Steph

Here Steph talks, to Cora,  about the need for Trans Visibility and the difficulties of being “trans” .  These were highlighted by a  list of perceived injustices and lots of instructions about how to be a Trans Ally.  The abuse that Steph relates is  focussed on being perceived  as female and treated  accordingly.  This is an important point. Recognition of biological reality is not a learned prejudice.  It’s hard-wired. It’s evolutionary.   It’s not akin to racial prejudice or other socialised bigotry.  It’s a basic recognition system.   This is how Steph defines transphobic behaviour. 👇

The interviewer responds with statistical reports of how unsafe “trans” people feel at school. If this includes “misgendering” calling it abuse is a stretch. At this stage school children are not going to be on cross-sex hormones (normally) under the age of 16.  Hence females who wish to be recognised, as male,  are demanding we validate an identity at odds with biological reality/appearance.

Whilst many people argue we should just  #BeKind, because this is just  simple courtesy,  in reality we are asked for a lot more  than maintaining a polite fiction. The nature of these demands soon becomes more explicit. Steph regards sex segregated spaces as an affront to their identity.  Therefore they demand that the  privacy and dignity of both sexes should be sacrificed to appease  a tiny minority,  who feel at odds with their biological sex. I would suggest it is no accident that a member of the female sex is presenting this argument. We all know these arguments sound very different when the advocate is a pre-op male.  Once again #SexMatters and this is the reason  a female person, is frequently wheeled out  to demand that women & girls give up our boundaries.

Steph is typical of proponents of Gender Ideology who constantly intones some version of “Educate Yourself” . We have heard this many times so guess what Steph? We did exactly that and what we learned did not reassure us. Not. One. Iota.

This is a rather gentle introduction which begins with a suggestion that any re-education begins gently.. but “and then if they refuse to listen, you can just block them”

It is well worth counting up how many times we are enjoined to educate ourselves; whilst being presented with incoherent narratives to explain what being Transgender encompasses. Some people may identify as male or female. Some identify as neither. Some move between male and female and are Gender Fluid. Some will have surgery and hormones, others either or neither. We are being asked to believe six impossible things before breakfast.

Not content with proselytising this ideology personally Steph also demands State sponsored “education” which inculcates children in Gender Identity Ideology.

In fact transgender guidance packs are being rolled out to most schools. Yet so many of them have been removed because they have been found to be unlawful, particularly around legal duties under the , legally, protected characteristic of Sex. It is concerning to see the NSPCC endorsing this ideology and completely ignoring the significant impact on the rights of girls.

Already Local Authorities have been forced to withdraw the guidance they have been placing in schools. Warwickshire, Cornwall, Shropshire, Barnsley are just a few of the councils who have withdrawn their guidance. This followed complaints/ Legal Challenge. Organisations like Safe Schools Alliance and Transgender Trend have been at the forefront of challenging this guidance. I have read multiple packs myself and wrote this blog about how they treat parents. Putting the Loco in Loco Parentis. Cannot stress enough to CHECK THE SCHOOL GUIDANCE.

Another striking , and worrying, aspect of the ChildLine YouTube are the alerts to what they believe is related /appropriate content.

Here Steph talks about being in an environment, where they are not respected and understood. The context is not honouring preferred pronouns and Gender Identity. What pops as suggested content? An article about suicide by another ChildLine Contributor. The use of the suicide narrative is a deeply problematic aspect of the campaigns for “Transgender Children’s” rights. I have written about this here. Suicide in the Trans Community

Here is another link to suggested content. 👇

We have already established the low bar for defining things as “Transphobic” but here ChildLine suggests content on dealing with “Hate Crime”. The afore-mentioned School packs on “Transgender Guidance” are also overly keen to badge benign comments as Hate Crimes and some even include a form to facilitate reporting staff and pupils to the police! In the guidance written for Cornwall the pack is even co-written with a serving Police Officer & Transphobia is highlighted as a crime! 👇

Here the ChildLine lines up more content on Transgender Issues. These signpost medical transition for non-binaries and one promotes access to Puberty Blockers.

I covered Alex Bertie and Charlie Martin, talking about Puberty in an earlier part of my series on NSPCC/ChildLine Content. On Steph’s personal YouTube account we learn it was Alex Bertie who first attracted Steph to binding their breasts. Alex Bertie was also promoting a specific brand , of binder, on their youtube account.

This content I also covered. Fox Fisher is a well known Trans Activist. Mr Lewzer is a trans-identifying female who has a following for comedic content; where they pose as their bearded mother. I know from my own offspring that Mr Lewzer’s content is very popular with Gender Confused teens.

My next piece will be a look at the belief system of this ChildLine contributor. The NSPCC seems to have a strategy of harnessing the Social Media presences of these young people. Unfortunately many of them have content that is deeply damaging to confused children /teens. Indeed many of the ones with Gender Identity Issues appear to have significant struggles of their own. Children are being directed to content which seems to immerse them in the topic. Nowhere does the NSPCC. raise concerns /flag that YouTube content is not always a reliable source. In fact, many of their interviewees sing the praises of YouTube content. This is not entirely surprising since many of them make money, even a living out of their content.
